Road Trip to Montana Summer 2006...
Hello all, we are back from a very fun filled long trip to Montana to visit
hubby's parents & to attend the renewal of their wedding vows for their 40th and
a half
year anniversary...there are many more pictures I had about 250 of them, but
below is the jest of it, needless to say besides all the fun we had & all the
family time
we got in...we were pampered like a king & a queen, given the nice large room
with a private bath at his parents house, which was so gorgeous & felt like
being in
the most lovely spa, sadly I failed to take photos of their new home. I will
have some next year from our winter holiday that we will be spending there...oh
back to
the story, we were fed so much good food all food here seems pale in comparison.
hubby's dad made the best MEAT I have ever tasted, the best burgers ever for
sure, now mind you I try not to eat too much red meat, but while in Montana, you
can not help but eat red meat...Bozeman Montana where they live is a very gorgeous town...there is so much to
tell, like the great fire works on the 4th...no photos of that sorry, do
not know why I did not have the camera with me half the time... we drove up
through Nevada, then Idaho to Montana & back...oh yeah I did teach a class to a very nice lady named Julie in Billings Montana,
more about that on the class page...
OH CLICK ON THE PHOTOS FOR A LARGER IMAGE

even though it was overcast and it eventually rained, yellow stone was one of
the most lovely places I have seen...photo from a moving car, next time we
will have more time to stop and hike and hang out a bit...

Eagles nest in Yellow Stone park, the rangers
had put no stopping signs near this nest, so we
the watchers would not disturb the family...
the
funny thing about the Elk photo is that they were all turning away from the road
or had already had their backs to us
goodies
I got at the very large farmer's market in Bozeman, the purse is hand made, the
lady who made it is going to send me her contact info, she made the most amazing
art purses and then sold them at very low prices, I told to raise her prices,
for all the work she does...this purse has this port holes that have a different
fabric under them and are then covered in netting and then stitched with
colorful threads all the way around...I also got something for my dad at the
Market, but since I have not given it to him yet, I am not going to list it
here. the little hair clips are from broken china found on beaches in Japan, the
lady who made them, actually lived there and picked up the pieces off the beach
herself...oh yes the photos, the lady who sold these took them herself and then
made the cards, just gorgeous, I am going to put them up in my studio, they are
from yellow stone...
Hubby at the Sneak River in Twin Falls Idaho...gorgeous both him & the view
me at sneak river Idaho...
Fire Hole, a place you can swim in the cold rushing water in Yellow Stone Park
Big Sky Montana, everywhere you look is this gorgeous sky....
wow and mountains...America is so beautiful....
when we were at Yellow Stone Park, we went to see Old Faithful, the Geyser...we
got there just in time, it was about to blow in about 5 min...what was
interesting to me was the hundreds of people lined up to see this natural event
go on...at one time, I felt that the entire group of people were just one big
eye, watching for Old Faithful to go off...as if the geyser itself knew we were
there, it would let out a puff or two, a bid of hot air once or twice & then
when it knew we could no longer wait as the glooming clouds over head were about
to unleash the power of a huge storm on us all, the Geyser went off, amid
cheers, so did the storm, it was amazing...I took several photos as we all ran
for cover from the harsh cold rain which by the time we reached the car
transformed itself to good sized hail...after that we drove out of the
park...and went on our way home...it was a glorious trip...my friend Patricia is
right Yellow stone can be very spiritual, next time, I would like to go away
from the tourist parts and hike the back country of the park for a bit...
the cuitest dog in the world, Dobby sleeps in his mom's lap...
right outside Reno in Nevada...we caught up with hubby's brother & his
girlfriend in that van in front of us...it was a great road trip...
where we stayed in Reno, on the way up and on the way back, on the way back we
won $200.00 there, we are not big gamblers at all....
another view of the sneak river in Idaho, my gosh this is so gorgeous, photos do
not do it justice...
one of a billion lovely sunsets we saw....
the happy gorgeous couple on the day of the renewing of their vows, it was a
very spiritual ceremony that they wrote and talked about, it was very heart
warming and lovely...40 years, congrats and here is to another 40....
the family at Yellow Stone, I am taking the picture...
Le Kiss...
we had so much fun there....
this little guy must get food from folks, since my mom in law was able to call
him out for the photo...we did not give him or any other animals food in the
park, we know better...
another photo of Yellow Stone as we were leaving, it was raining and the sun was
still out...
and who is this, I never saw this Elk in person, but everyone said he was there,
so I took the picture and blew it up and there he is...
